We're back from our (sold-out!) James Beard dinner in New York City and we have the pictures to prove it!

We had a brilliant (and entertaining) time with Nic's owner and chef extraordinaire, Larry Nicola and his right hand, Ariel Carpenter. The 24th  had its share of nail-biting moments...would the lamb get there in time...would the semifreddo set...was there enough vodka to hold the all-volunteer kitchen crew?

Don't worry. Dinner went off without a hitch!

Diners told us they enjoyed the experience. We had a great time meeting them, too. We were also very touched by how many people -- family, friends, chefs, staff  ingredient donors -- went out of their way to make our night so special. We can't thank them enough!
